About the Library

Shirakole Mahavidyalaya

Library is an integral part of any institutions, rightly said by the former President of India Dr.S. Radhakrishnan. Library is the heart of any educational or academic institution because it is the spring of wisdom from where all can quench their thirst of knowledge.

The College Library is a vital component of the College system and the hub for educational materials. Since the college’s founding in 2007, the Shirakole Mahavidyalaya Library has been open for students. The development of a new annex building was begun in 2020 and was completed in the middle of 2021. In August 2021 newly constructed floor was inaugurated by local Honorable persons and our Principal Dr. Sukla Dutta Maity.

With the prompt efforts of the Current principal Dr. Samiran Mondal , the Library is member now a register member of N – LIST (National Library and Information Services infrastructure for Scholarly Content) consortium of INFLIBNET through which the members of the library can access 6300+ ejournals and 1,00,000 ebooks.
